"Ahh sweet baby bois... screw your INNOCENCE."

Besides compulsive journeys & the oddball Brooklyn gig, we've been settled in Tucson for most of 2016. Books & Shovels main tour dates crawled thru calendars slowly, arriving w/ the NYC Poetry Festival to debut 2016's Chapbook Series + This Lil Lit Fest in Denver.

We made the last tour thru w/ a 92 Camry Stationwagon named Grim. She died in Tucson, early July, hacking up black gunk & wheezing between gears.  With three weeks till the tour’s kick off at the NYC Poetry Festival, there was some obligatory cliche moonlighting as heavy drinking and obsessive Craigslist browsing for a new ride. We found a 2003 Town & Country.

Meet Damp, a hyper-masculine, misfiring, stubborn mothafucker.

Damp evolved into increasing gambles until we reached the end of our economic rope & said, "fuck it, let's roll & hope for the best."
