From East Coast to West Coast to East Coast
2015 was our third year hitting the N.Y.C. Poetry Festival. Nostrovia! + Books & Shovels, our traveling bookstore, crash landed here from Oakland after hitting Beast Crawl Lit Fest. Our time in the Bay was a wild precursor to the largest city in the United States, and damn, the ups and downs continued in the usually messy Passionate Living > Making a Living fashion.
An in-depth overview of the adventure was posted at N! Tavern on 8/4/2015.

This year was important on multiple levels. It was the conclusion to Books & Shovels 2015 tour, an East Coast to West Coast to East Coast tour, + the debut of our first Chapbook Contests' winners' publications, "Moon Facts" by Bob Schofield + "Bird Lizard Horse" by August Smith + "Juliet (II)" by Sarah Xerta. All three publications are available online at our usual 'pay-what-you-can' rate through N!'s Store.
Pledges received at the festival + online book sales fund next year's Chapbook Contest, and allow us to keep our contest free to submit to. Your love & support allow us to continue growing as a publisher, and encourage others to chase their dreams.
If you are not financially situated to purchasing literature, we offer free physical copies to those who can place a review of the publication. If you’re interested in providing reviews, please contact me (at nostroviachapbooks@gmail.com).
August Smith + Leah Mueller + Neeko Ford + Jeremiah Walton represented Nostrovia! on stage at the festival. They killed it on stage, snaring up the attention of the community, permeating through regional boundaries, snapping together both the West and East coast.
Our original line up included Sarah Xerta & Bob Schofield, but due to travel complications, they were unable to make it to the event.
<3 to our N.Y.C. homies, and the people who assisted with making our third year at the festival successful. Much love, respect, & best wishes. Cheers!
