What's "Nostrovia" Mean?
"Nostrovia" is an English mispronunciation of the Russian word "Na Zdorovie" (Naz-dro-vyeh). It is also derived from the Polish term "Na zdrowie" (nah zdroh-vee-eh). The definition for both terms are "to your health!" or "cheers!". Nostrovia is also slang for "let's get drunk" and "let's drink". More commonly though, it is just used as a simple drinking toast. "Nostrovia!" is also the name of an upcoming poetry collection by youth poet Jeremiah Walton. Seventeen years old and living in New England, Jeremiah is also author of "To Your Health: Humanity's Diagnosis". Nostrovia! Poetry is designed and managed by Jeremiah Walton. The youth poets who are forming their teeth and throat can come and bark here, and experienced old dogs who know their way around a sonnet can join in. Nostrovia! Poetry is for all poetry writers.
